Information

Ethiopia Suke Quto – Guji Organic

An exceptional specialty coffee from the Guji region of Ethiopia, offering an elegant and fruity flavour profile.

Suke Quto is grown in the highlands of Guji, at elevations between 1,800 and 2,200 metres above sea level. Here, the cool mountain climate, nutrient-rich soil, and slow ripening of the coffee cherries contribute to remarkable complexity and natural sweetness.

Behind this coffee is Tesfaye Bekele, a pioneer who has played a key role in establishing Guji as one of Ethiopia's most renowned specialty coffee regions. With a passion that goes far beyond traditional coffee farming, he has dedicated his life to producing coffee of exceptional quality.

Suke Quto is produced from the indigenous Ethiopian coffee varieties Kurume and Welicho. The coffee cherries undergo careful washed processing, a method that highlights the coffee's clean, vibrant, and nuanced character.

In the cup, this lively and elegant coffee reveals notes of blood orange, sweet berries, and ripe peach, complemented by delicate hints of black tea. The result is a complex, juicy, and beautifully balanced coffee with a long, pleasant finish.
