World Cup Coffee – Uganda Robusta
When the matches run late into the night, you need a coffee that can keep up. Our World Cup Coffee is made with powerful Robusta beans from Uganda – known for their naturally high caffeine content, full body and intense flavour.
This is a coffee for those who want to stay awake through extra time, penalty shootouts and late-night studio coverage. In the cup, you get a rich and robust coffee with notes of cola, black tea, molasses, spice, rum and dark berries. The flavour is bold yet balanced, with a distinct character that sets it apart from milder Arabica coffees.
Uganda is considered one of the native homes of Robusta. Robusta once grew wild along the northern shores of Lake Victoria, and coffee has long held cultural significance in Uganda. Today, it is grown by smallholder farmers in several regions, including western Uganda near the Rwenzori Mountains – an area with great potential for high-quality coffee.
The beans are Screen 18, meaning they are large and uniform in size. The coffee is fully washed, giving it a cleaner profile than many traditional Robustas, while still preserving the powerful body and high caffeine content that Robusta is known for.
This is not a gentle morning coffee. This is a dark, energetic and flavourful World Cup coffee – made for long evenings, big matches and the moments you do not want to sleep through.
Contains approximately twice as much caffeine as Arabica beans.
